Course Duration: 3 Years
Entry requirements

This Programme consists of competencies that an individual must develop to provide services in an accident and emergency and orthopedic operating room and orthopedic wards in a hospital. It entails providing emergency services in disaster incident, managing soft tissue injuries, managing fractures and dislocations and participating in management of orthopedic condition in a health facility.

The content covered in the programme includes:

  1. Emergency Care in Disaster Incident
  2. Soft Tissue Injuries
  3. Fracture and Dislocation
  4. Orthopedic Conditions
  5. Surgical Procedures in Orthopedic and Trauma
  6. Administrative Services in Orthopedic and Trauma Medicine
  7. Management of Orthopedic and Trauma Facility

This course takes 3 Years. 

Intake: January, May, September

  1. KCSE Mean C (Plain) with C in English/Kiswahili, C- in Mathematics, C in Biology/Biological science.
  2. Certificate in Orthopedic & Trauma Medicine.
