First Aid Trainer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled First Aid Trainer to provide comprehensive first aid and CPR training to employees, community members, and other organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency response and a passion for educating others on life-saving techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Delivery:
    • Conduct first aid and CPR training sessions for individuals and groups.
    • Develop and deliver engaging, informative, and practical training programs.
    • Ensure training materials are up-to-date and aligned with the latest standards and regulations.
  2. Curriculum Development:
    • Create and update training curricula and materials based on industry best practices.
    • Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of various audiences.
  3. Assessment and Certification:
    • Assess participants’ understanding and competency through practical exercises and written tests.
    • Issue certifications to individuals who successfully complete the training.
  4. Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and certification status.
    • Prepare and submit reports on training activities and outcomes.
  5. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all training programs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Stay current with changes in first aid guidelines and protocols.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to participants, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Foster a supportive and positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is required. Advanced certifications in emergency response or health and safety are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in first aid training or a related field. Experience in instructional or training roles preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to engage and motivate participants.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in using training equipment and technology.
  • Certifications: Valid certification in first aid, CPR, and AED. Instructor certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry training equipment as needed.
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods during training sessions.

Working Conditions:

  • Training sessions may be conducted in various environments, including classrooms, workplaces, and outdoor settings.
  • Some travel may be required to deliver training at different locations.
