A phlebotomy course typically covers the skills and knowledge necessary to become a proficient phlebotomist, someone who draws blood for tests, transfusions, research, or blood donations.

The Phlebotomist program includes theory, hands-on instruction and clinical attachment.

Course objectives

By the end of the course graduates will be able to competently apply blood collection techniques, safety protocols, patient interaction and proper specimen handling.

Course content

Some of the units covered include:

  • Infection control in phlebotomy
  • Equipment and supplies used in phlebotomy
  • Phlebotomy procedures
  • Fundamentals of phlebotomy

This course takes 6 Weeks. 

Intake: January, May, September

Phlebotomist course provides students with knowledge to work in a laboratory, hospital, nursing homes, physicians’ offices, private clinics, Blood Bank, Diagnostic centers, infusion centers, blood donation centers, etc. Phlebotomist provides a unique view of allied health care and general medicine
